Collaboration Nation

I just returned from a trip to Drexel, where I both spoke and began a number of collaborative projects two friends. It was invigorating. I admit I was feeling slightly in a rut research wise. I have a solid postdoc from a mentorship perspective, but have been working on the same research project for the last nine months and it was beginning to drag on me. I had an idea for a new collaboration in November, and although my colleagues at UIC seemed interested, no one actually took the bait. At Drexel not only did I find takers, but ideas were reciprocated. My research statement now feels developed and full. Nice.
