Taking names
Friday b and I went to the Home Bistro. It was excellent, and inspired me to begin a list of Chi-town restaurants that kick ass and well...
Tango Sur (BYOB) - Argentine steakhouse. Southport and Grace.
Simply It (BYOB) - Excellent inexpensive Vietnamese, good atmosphere, free fresh fruit for dessert, on Lincoln and Belden.
Home Bistro (BYOB) - French as though by Brian Garthwaite, at Halsted and Roscoe
Coobah - Cuban bistro style, great latin beer list. Southport and Newport.
Rosal's - Authentic Italian, great baked clams. Taylor and Racine.
Bistro Zinc - French. Good for brunch, bar actually made of zinc. State and Rush.

...and yet Garthwaite sounds so British...
Personally I am all for Frontera Grill -- I never mind waiting for a table when there are good margaritas around.
