I have been meaning to give some job advice for this years seekers. N,C, and J at least? Here are some thoughts of mine that I want to pass on -
1) I would avoid any contact with the Mathjobs wiki. No university is consulting it for whom they interview. It is stressful for you, and is criminally lacking in information and accuracy.
2) For phone and joint meetings interviews (ie those which are under half an hour) when asked about your research, I would recommend outlining what you have done/will do in terms of quantity of papers and planned collaborations, rather than the subject matter. I made the mistake more than once of trying to explain the subject matter of my research in these situations and there is simply not enough time to do it justice.
3) Similarly, for interviews, practice a teaching anecdote in advance (far enough in advance so that you can look at it with some distance to see if it makes you look like a corny idiot).
4) If location is more important to you than prestige of position (say you have a spouse and just want to live in LA or NYC) then browse higheredjobs.com in addition to mathjobs and http://www.ams.org/profession/employment-services/eims/eims-home. Unfortunately, all three contain at least some positions that are not listed on the others (in fact although one has to apply to many jobs through mathjobs, the ams site includes almost all of the mathjobs postings, while the reverse is not true.
Good luck!
