On Saturday some friends and I went to a somewhat new place in Madison called "The Monroe St. Bistro". In addition to having an extensive selection of Belgian beer, they had free live music by the very talented Brandon Beebe. The highlight of his set list for me was his cover of How deep is your love by the Bee Gees. Since then I looked at my I-Tunes and found I have the original on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. A quick listen determined that I prefer Brandon's recording. Although Brandon doesn't have a recorded cover, there are others available that are also better than the Bee Gees. The Bird and the Bee do a slower cover that I enjoy, but do not own. Also on my I-Tunes is the Bad Plus featuring Wendy Lewis who do a great version with big vocals and crazy jazz. Kudos to the Bee Gees for writing a song that I can enjoy so much thirty years after they wrote it - albeit not their version.
† Extra credit for those who can figure out the pun in the title.

So... I guessed the pun before you even asked, but I want to give everyone a chance to figure it out. It's pretty funny. Or punny. Or whatever.
*sigh*
(Had to wikipedia that one...)
p.s. As for taking classes, don't forget sabbatical leaves when staying local...
Belgian beer! I might have to go there when I'm back in town
