The Trip: Part I

Blythe and I are going on a motorcycle trip with my college roommate Adam. We will fly out to State College, PA then drive to Adam's home town of Ridgway. From there we will hop on motorcycles and hit Rte. 6 for three days of camping and life on 'The Open Road'. Here is an approximate map...

The trip brings with it some interesting logistics - for example space vs gear. With two bikes and three people, the room on the bikes for storage is small. We will replace two sleeping bags with some sheets. We both need rain gear, and choosing a wardrobe that is both reusable (unsmelly), weather appropriate (its going to be in the 80's each day), and small will be a challenge. Although bringing all this stuff to State College via two planes will be another hurdle, it looks to be a grand adventure. I am pumped. Here Adam's bike, which Blythe and I will ride.
